Ok. I have to do some more modifications to the engine sometime to give me more flexibility with the timing. At the moment the slowest anything can move is 1 pixel per CLK tick. When I get a chance I'll try and modify it so that it can do 1 pixel per X number of CLK ticks.

I briefly tried that version yesterday evening, and found it unplayable on the Milan. It seems the refresh rate is way too low on this machine :-(

Ok. So the Milan TOS doesn't support the polling of the Control Key.
I'll have to make a switch for that and a version that runs without
the Control Key detection.

The error is GEMJing. I have a hard time debugging that communication
here. Basically I think I'm overflowing the system message space when
GEMJing is used for sound output.

Playable speeds were available on the Milan in testing. GEMJing
option will definately slow everything down though.

Hi Dan,

I tried it with GemJing. If it is started prior to GemPanic, I do even get sound :-)
In any case, with the sound option set to GemJing the escape key is working.
I've go some error messages (Alert in german: "[!]|System hat keinen Speicher mehr frei|[OK]") after some minutes of gameplay.
In a secon run, I encountered a complete system lockup when the last enemy ship collided with my icon and I was at thes same time firing.
Moreover, the Milan seems to be too slow for the game, as I can easyly reach levels beyond 20.

it's working on my Milan040 under MagiC, but I cannot pause the program. Neither control-p nor control-ESC do anything as long as the game is running.
On the first run, I had to play on and on... until at some time (after approx. half an hour) all enemies were gone, but no new level started.
The window looked like this:

Before I add a game to Gem Candy, I verify a copy of the archive on my local machine. So if anyone encounters any bad download links, just let me know and I'll get a new copy put up.
