Files open in hotlist window (no replies)

Hi,
i found another bug (HW 0.3.4. beta 6):
If the hotlist is the topped window and i click on "Open file" (folder icon in non-topped main window),
fileselector opens correct, but the selected file is opened in hotlist window then.

Editable textfields (again) (4 replies)

Hi,

there are some problems with editable textfields in 0.3.4 beta6 (Falcon/CT60/CTPCI/Radeon, 1280*1024 screenres.):
- The textfields are too small (half width they should be) and don't scroll horizontally when
typing (follow the textcursor). But it's strange: When i delete some long lines with keeping
BACKSPACE pressed, the textbox scrolls (follows cursor) like it should be!
If a line is longer than the textfield and i press ALT+CTL+CLEAR (screen update), the missing
part of this line is displayed right outside the textbox. I can't attach a snapshot because of
the limited attachment size here in forum (25 kB), but this happens in all Atari-forums i tested.
- German NON-ASCII characters are not inserted correct, for example a german "a with too dots
on top" is inserted as a greek "eta", i think..

Hi,
there is a serious problem in Highwire 0.3.4 ß4 (hw100125.zip) from
[highwire.sourceforge.net] which was not
present in 0.3.3 ß4:
JPEG pictures are displayed with a shadow, means if there's a car in a
picture then a transparent copy of the car is drawn some pixels to the left
or right- just like "shadowed" text.
For example see [aniplay.atari.org] picture of LCD display.

This happens on my Falcon/CT60 with MinT/XaAES/NVDI 256 colors/736*544p (with
CNTSCREEN.PRG) and with MagiC, too (same res.).

Hi there!

When accessing (login) squirrelmail, the webapp sends a bunch of http headers (set cookies, http redirect, etc.) to the client... highwire just displays the http response (no html, it's just a header, and it's cut somewhere before the real end...) and then does nothing. If i then put in the address that redirect.php would redirect me, the webapp works. :)

Anyone knows about this?

I just found another textarea
bug, this one I have a screen
shot of, but I need to swap
OS's to "webify" it, will
post the link when done

To recreate the bug:
create some lines of text,
more than one textarea page
(should be 14 lines each)

make one of the later ones,
say line 10, long enough for
the text to scroll sideway
while typing. make sure the
line above is has text also,
ie not an empty line.

then press "up" arrow (on
the end of the long line). you should now see "bell"
characters instead of line
wraps cause by newline or
return characters

to "fix" the display of the
textarea again, click outside
the textarea

MiNT memory protection (no replies)

Hi!

I'm using Highwire 0.3.2, i cann't browse any web site online when MiNT's memory protection is enable, i get the message "No route to host", this only happens with mintnet.ovl, with sting.ovl through gluestick everythig is fine.

anybody else with this problem?

Hello,

For instance : [www.powerphenix.com] in which the links are displayed side by side instead of being each one under another (hope the terms are correct...).
Some other sites cause HW crash and go back to desktop. None as example, but will come as soon as I can find one. Might not take too long.

HW crashes if opens a bookmark without a current window (4 replies)

It happens that I close an unwanted window, and I only have the bookmark window open. This way, if I open a bookmark, HighWire crashes.
I also posted this bug to the bugtracker.

This page is interesting but isn't displayed well in HW.
There is a little bit of javascript but I think that
the images are overlayed in CSS or html.

68000 Problem (no replies)

Hello,

every time I start Highwire I get a fault:
"Ungültige Funtionsnummer ! Funktionsnummer = 229"
"68000 Exception (Fehler #-69)"

My system:
Falcon
Highwire 0.3.2 (030-Binary)
MagiC 6.1
MagixNet
NetUSBEE
NVDI 3.01

I've tried older versions of highwire....the same failure.

TCP is ok....I can ping all sites and I've tried with CAB and this works (a little bit ;-) )

It would be nice if anybody could help me or have some tips.

I haven't used the bookmark feature much but I have noticed
that if I open the bookmark list I tend to suffer from
complete machine lock-ups.

Oh man, posted to a wrong forum. What a shame.

Anyway, originally I wanted to post a bug report here (that's why I opened several windows with different forums and then posted to a wrong one) so here we go:

Monospaced fonts can be configured, they work, they are stored to config file properly, but after HighWire restart they are NOT restored - 6x6 system font is used instead. I posted this issue to bugtracker as well.

Hi.
I tried the 0.3.3 b5, and I can't send data through forms with it.
On 0.3.2 I have no problems.

This issue just seems to occur with Sting, as I've been happily posting with MiNTnet.

Textfield-limit with copy+paste (no replies)

Hi,
there seems to be a limitation of 256 Bytes for 'Copy and paste-
actions' into editable textfields, e.g. i wrote a text with QED,
copied it to CLIPBOARD and want to post (paste) it in a forum, only the
first 256 Bytes are pasted (text is complete in CLIPBRD/scrap.txt).
(HighWire 0.32 with STiNG+MagiC 6.2 on Falcon/CT60)

something broken which worked
before: If a link points to a section IN a
document

'Page not found' error-message appears.

and continue with HW.

I tried in CAB and a cookie is returned and the results
shown fairly quickly.

Hi,

If a new (second) window is opened (with CTRL+N), all toolbar-
icons are 'greyed out'. But 'open file' (folder icon) should be
selectable and working, i think.(CTRL+O shortcut works).

1/ In a SELECT tag, when the text of an OPTION doesn't exist (or filled with space character), this ITEM isnt display
2/ In a TEXTAREA tag, when we enter a too much long text and we valid the form, HV returns a "connexion error"
3/ CHECKBOX : normally HTTP authorise to use the NAME="toto[]" attribute (for PHP for instance) to several CHECKBOX. But for HIGHWIRE, if
we select several of these CHECKBOX, it seems it only send the first one.

Hi,

"www.yahoo.fr" doesn't work : Highwire crashed. With MagiC, I have a 68000 exception. With MiNT 1.15.12 and N.AES 2.0, Highwire disappear.

Can you correct it ?

Hi All,

I just notice recently a mystake concerning the url management in HighWire.

Say that whene we are in a "/toto/bidul/page.php" and when Apache (in the remote) has a default page different as page.php
(normally index.htm) and when a link in the "page.php" page is only "?key1=value1&key2=value2" without any character before,
normally these cgi must apply to the "page.php" page and not to the default Apache page.
It seems that HW apply this kind of link to the default page...

Can you see that please ?

I entered a the url of a page that does not exist then
hit UNDO to go back to the previous page.

The prev page is displayed but the url stays as
the non-existant one.

On [www.dnsstuff.com], when I enter some domain name for example in the "DNS lookup" section, I can't get proper results anymore.
The URL reported is [www.dnsstuff.com] but it should be
[www.dnsstuff.com]
This used to work before. Why is a simple dot escaped as "%252E"?

Cache management and connexion error ? (2 replies)

Hi all

Maybe my remarks will seem stupid...
Anyway, I just want to talk about a problem that FreeMiNT users may not have
(Under MiNTNET and vwdial).

The problem is that when I enter a long text in a text area form when I am connected (with a classic modem), It take a certain time
and when I valid the form, HW always display a "connexion error" message in the main windows.
As if we have a maximum time to enter the text...

CAB dones't do that... It's a little annoying especially if we enter important words.
I suggested in another post using clipboard features to avoid that...

One other problem is that HW doesn't seem to manage visited page as other browsers.
Does it manage the "no cache" attribute in the headers ?
Also, normally, a browser should reload a page when forms use the POST METHOD
Even I think that links using cgi ("toto.php?key1=value1 etc...) should be reload too cause between 2 visited, the content may change.

Also, the navigate button may not follows the same law, as for instance, if we want to come back to a previous form page where we put some text, the text should be staied.
Firefox does like that and I like this policy...

Hi,
when clicking on any 'ftp://' or 'mailto:'-
link, nothing happens.
I use TeraDesk with MagiC on Falcon/CT60,
TeraDesk supports []* and mailto:* -
'filetypes' assigned to apps (and i did this,
of course).
Are the names of such links passed to
AV-Server anyway???

While writing in input areas like this one I noticed
some very odd behaviour if Shift-left or Shift-
right is pressed.

Some square characters appear and the layout is
upset. It can be cleared eventually by fiddling with
Shift-left/right.

Just had a look at the BBC webpages which in 0.2.7 had
been rendered with the main text on the extreme right.

In 0.3.0 the body of the pages is blank :-(
