The problem is saving code (ctrl+shift+w in ACTION!). I've set up disk drive (File->Disk Drives) as D1:. Unfortunately when trying to save ACTION! code I get Error 130 (device not found/invalid device from what I've looked up online). Tried to enter D:filename (according to ACTION! Manual you need to put device indicator, c for cassette, p for printer, etc., then colon, then file name), tried D1:filename, nothing works (drive is set up in File->Disk Drives and is set to R/W).

Tried both with raw and Dos 2 formatted drive images (the only that can be created with Altirra).

I have created this front end on my computer
for almost all games that are on my computer.

However I come across a small problem
when it comes to STEem and Hatari.

To make these Atari games run as soon as the emulator started
it looked like I had to put all games onto disk images
but some I couldn't set as auto programs
and some are larger than a regular disk.

With the help of someone I programmed something in AHCC
that would load another program/game from the harddrive.

It seemed to work when running it normally
but when I put it into the C:\AUTO folder
alot of the games it tried to load (reading paths and filenames from a TXT)
did not seem to load properly.

The only hint I got was from Nishiran.
It said "Please insert disk 1 and press a key."

This sounds like it can't find its home folder
before the GEM/Desktop is loaded.

Jag är en hopplös nostalgiker och saknar min gamla Atari 520 STe otroligt mycket.

Jag är därför intresserad av att köpa en väl fungerande Atari 520 eller 1040 STE.
Jag har redan en STFM så jag är endast ute efter STE då det var en sådan jag
hade en gång i tiden som första dator.

Det får gärna följa med spel och program och om möjligt även en skärm,
men det är inget krav.

Pris diskuteras om du har en Atari 520 eller 1040 STE till salu,
Jag står naturligtvis för frakten om avståndet är för stort.

Tipsa gärna vänner och bekanta om du känner någon som har en fungerande STE liggandes!

Jag kan inte använda den RF-Kabel jag använder till min Atari STE
till min Atari Jaguar (Det står made in USA, på Jaguaren), får bara
brus men bild. Hur löser jag detta problem, måste spela Wulfenstien.....

Ändring i planerna... Eftersom pengarna inte är det viktigaste utan det vore fint om någon som vill hålla liv i Atari-eran tog hand om datorn, skänker jag bort den istället. Dock skickar jag den inte utan den måste hämtas på plats i Alingsås alternativt i Göteborg, Torslanda.

I need some advice from people in the know. I am not that great at tech stuff. I've been running a CUBASE 2.0 program on an ATARI 520ST for years and the Atari has finally died.

I've been told that I can keep working in the same way by using an EMULATOR with my PC- windows xp and laptop vista. I have no clue how to go about this.
I've downloaded something called the GEMULATOR and when I try to run it I get a notice saying

"Unable to install TOS. Please run the ROM BIOS Setup to configure TOS on your computer"

I have no idea what this means -nor do I know what to do about it. I'm told this thing is very easy to use, but as I mentioned I'm not very computer saavy.

I have worked out a deal (FREE) with a fellow Atari fan friend of mine that just happens to be the senior network engineer for a major ISP here in San Diego, CA. He is willing to place a server online FOR FREE to house source code, with source code control, a software repository, and even a central download space for vendors (vendors will not be charged if they keep the site server owners "stocked" with their up to date goods; contact me for more info on that), a forum, a blog, and anything else the community would like, within reason, of course. He'd even be happy to house various web sites dedicated to Atari, provided they give a service to the community. There would be no ads, other than for Atari vendors participating, and would be housed on San Diego's fastest peering network in a cooled server room on a secure dedicated Linux server with plenty of storage space, not a virtual machine.

If this is something you would be interested in, then let me know, and please spread this news around if you like the idea. We would be happy to have international web sites as well. We want this to encompass as much of the Atari universe as possible.
